Waterlicht at King's Cross (London, United Kingdom 2018)
Lumiere London is back, lighting up the cold, dark streets of London for four evenings with light art and light installations. This world-class light festival showcases the capital’s spectacular and iconic architecture and streets, with more than 50 works located between King's Cross, Fitzrovia, Mayfair, South Bank, Westminster and the West End.
I shot this at Granary Square, by King's Cross. This installation titled "Waterlicht" was inspired by our changing relationship to water, the risk was all face if immediate action is not taken to tackle global warming and rising levels. This ethereal dream-like landscape was tricky to photograph, as the only way to capture the waves was to shoot at a higher shutter speed - 1/15th sec with tripod.
